Event Review | China Coatings and Ink Summit & Expo 2023 Keynote at the Industrial Anticorrosive Coatings Sesson

On May 30-31, 2023, China Coatings and Ink Summit & Expo 2023 was held at The Longemont Shanghai Hotel.

The theme of this summit is "energy conservation, emission reduction, and environmental innovation", with six main theme venues: industrial anticorrosive coatings, building decoration coatings, wood coatings, rail transit and automotive coatings, electronic and electrical coatings, and printing ink.

The topics discussed include technological innovation in the coating industry, sharing of user coating cases, demonstration of various functional additive application cases, and innovation of coating research and development processes, in order to promote the exchange of knowledge and experience between upstream and downstream enterprises in the coating industry, thereby promoting the healthy, stable, and sustainable development of the coating industry.

Laboratory accelerated aging tests and laboratory accelerated corrosion tests are widely used methods to evaluate the outdoor performance of materials by exposing them to UV, heat, water, and salt conditions.

Numerous studies have shown that comprehensive aging and corrosion test methods such as ASTM D5894 and ISO 12944 have a good correlation with the outdoor exposure results of many materials.

This report outlined the development and practice of key international standards for comprehensive aging and corrosion testing, and introduced several case studies on the correlation between standards and customized testing conditions and outdoor results.

Technical Manager of Q-Lab China office, Master of Science, she is engaged in the promotion and research of weathering resistance and corrosion resistance testing technology of materials.

Member of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Coatings and Pigments (SAC/TC 5/SC 10), member of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Textiles (SAC/TC 209/SC 1).

She has participated in the formulation and revision of over ten national standards, industry standards, and group standards related to weather aging and corrosion resistance testing in industries such as coatings, plastics, automobiles, textiles, building materials, and wood, and has published over twenty related technical papers.
